Humly are recruiting a Teaching Assistant to support a nursery-aged child on a 1:1 basis within an EYFS class at a primary school in Penrith from September. This part time role would suit an experienced Teaching Assistant, Nursery Practitioner or Learning Support Assistant who is confident supporting young children and enjoys working as part of a busy primary school team.
You'll be working within an Early Years classroom, providing consistent 1:1 support to a nursery child while also helping the wider EYFS team with the day-to-day running of the classroom. The role is based around three days each week - Monday, Thursday and Friday - making it a great opportunity for someone looking for regular part time school work in Penrith.

Working alongside the class teacher and wider EYFS team
What You'll Be Doing
Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a nursery child throughout the school day
Helping the child engage with EYFS activities and classroom routines
Supporting communication, interaction and participation in learning
Encouraging independence and positive relationships with other children
Supporting the child during play-based learning and structured activities
Helping create a safe, calm and nurturing classroom environment
Working closely with the EYFS teacher and school staff
Following individual support strategies and guidance provided by the school
You'll Be a Good Fit If You...
Have experience working with children in an Early Years, nursery, primary or school setting
Have experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Nursery Practitioner or similar
Are confident providing 1:1 support to young children
Understand the importance of patience, consistency and positive relationships in EYFS
Are reliable and available to work Monday, Thursday and Friday
Can work effectively as part of a school team
Have a calm, caring and supportive approach
