Humly are recruiting for a reliable and caring Nursery Nurse to support children at a nursery setting in Blackburn from Monday 14 September 2026. This full-time role is currently expected to run until 23 October 2026, with the exact duration to be confirmed by the setting.
This Nursery Nurse role would suit an experienced Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Practitioner or childcare professional who is confident working with young children in a busy nursery environment. You'll provide general nursery support throughout the day, helping children with their learning, development and day-to-day activities, as well as supporting with personal care where required.

Personal care responsibilities where required
What You'll Be Doing
Providing general support to children throughout the nursery day
Supporting learning and development through play and planned activities
Helping children take part in daily nursery routines
Encouraging children's confidence, independence and social development
Supporting children with personal care where required
Helping maintain a safe, caring and engaging nursery environment
Working alongside nursery staff to support children's individual needs
Building positive relationships with children and colleagues
Supporting transitions, mealtimes and other day-to-day activities
Following nursery policies and safeguarding procedures
You'll Be a Good Fit If You...
Have experience working as a Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Practitioner, Teaching Assistant or in a similar childcare role
Have recent experience working with young children in a nursery or Early Years setting
Are confident supporting children's learning and development
Are comfortable supporting with personal care responsibilities
Have a caring, patient and nurturing approach
Can build positive relationships with children
Are reliable and confident working as part of a nursery team
Are available Monday to Friday from 08:30-15:30
Are available to start on 14 September 2026
