    School Cleaner - Darwen - Part Time - September Start

    Humly are recruiting for an experienced Cleaner to support a primary school in Darwen from 14 September 2026. This part-time role involves working Monday to Friday for 3 hours per day, ideally between 15:00 and 18:30, helping to keep the school clean, safe and well presented for pupils, staff and visitors.

    This School Cleaner role would suit someone reliable, practical and experienced in cleaning who takes pride in maintaining a clean and safe environment. The role is expected to run until 18 December 2026, covering the period until Christmas, with some flexibility around working hours during school holidays.

    Role Details

    What You'll Be Doing

    • Cleaning classrooms, corridors and shared school areas

    • Keeping toilets and other facilities clean and hygienic

    • Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately

    • Cleaning and maintaining high-use areas throughout the school

    • Following cleaning routines and health and safety procedures

    • Using cleaning products and equipment safely

    • Helping maintain a clean, safe and well presented school environment

    • Reporting any cleaning, maintenance or health and safety issues

    • Working around pupils, staff and visitors in a professional manner

    • Supporting additional cleaning requirements during school holidays where needed

    You'll Be a Good Fit If You...

    • Have previous experience working as a Cleaner, School Cleaner or similar role

    • Have experience cleaning commercial, school or other public environments

    • Are reliable and able to work Monday-Friday

    • Are practical and take pride in your work

    • Have good attention to detail

    • Understand the importance of hygiene and cleanliness

    • Can follow cleaning procedures and health and safety guidance

    • Are confident working independently

    • Are respectful and professional when working around children and school staff

    • Can start on 14 September 2026

    • Are available to work through until 18 December 2026
