Humly are recruiting a dedicated Teaching Assistant / SEN Learning Support Assistant to support pupils across Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 at a primary school in Carlisle from September. This role combines general classroom support with 1:1 SEN support, making it ideal for an adaptable education professional who is confident working across Early Years and Key Stage 1.
The role runs throughout the Autumn term, with potential to extend further. We're looking for someone who can build positive relationships with young children, provide calm and consistent support, and adapt their approach to meet different learning and additional needs across Reception, Year 1 and Year 2.

Working alongside class teachers and the wider school team
What You'll Be Doing
Supporting pupils across Reception, Year 1 and Year 2
Providing 1:1 SEN support where required
Helping pupils access classroom activities and learning
Supporting early reading, phonics, numeracy and other curriculum activities
Encouraging communication, independence and positive classroom behaviour
Adapting your support to suit individual learning and additional needs
Supporting children during play-based and structured learning activities
Working closely with teachers and school staff to follow individual support strategies
Helping create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
You'll Be a Good Fit If You...
Have experience as a Teaching Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or in a similar education role
Have experience working with children in EYFS, KS1 or a primary school setting
Are confident providing 1:1 SEN support
Understand the importance of patience, consistency and positive relationships
Can adapt your approach to meet different pupil needs
Are comfortable working across Reception, Year 1 and Year 2
Are reliable, flexible and professional
Are available for Full Time or Part Time school work from September
